Et Cetera (etc.) translates from Latin to “and others” or “and the rest.”
Et Cetera is an ALL DAY feature with a list of things I love & inspiration from my life lately.
Reading: two poems that I wrote and love, now published: “A Book to a Scholar” and “Origin of a Mountain.” Both are published by Swamp Pink (formerly Crazyhorse), which is the literary journal at the College of Charleston. And! I’m heading to South Carolina for a poetry residency.
Something about this time feels like a turning point of something expansive and exciting. Are you feeling that too?
I am teaching a poetry workshop online next month with WritingWorkshops.com, and I’m thrilled about it! I’m also delighted by how quickly the class is filling; there’s almost a waitlist. I hope you’ll join us. This class the the culmination of my life’s work.

Listening: to a lot of country music. I’m a very unsentimental person, but I’m a very romantic person. I love romance. I’ve been thinking about romance a lot, as I’m wont to do in March and April. Isn’t it a great time of year?
